Healthmark’s Training Centre in Dubai
Healthmark’s Training Centre in Dubai

Healthmark opened its training centre in Dubai back in 2023, attracting more than 1,200 students since it first opened its doors.

The centre enables foreign healthcare workers from all over the world to upskill and prepare for their careers in Europe whilst bridging for clinical and cultural gaps.

Located in the heart of Dubai Silicon Oasis, Healthmark’s 250 square metre training centre includes a training room, a hospital simulation room equipped with cutting-edge medical equipment, offices, meeting rooms, and a recreational area.

For the past seven years, Healthmark has been recruiting healthcare staff hailing from various countries, including Bangladesh, Nepal, the Philippines, and India in order to meet the local demand in Malta.

Workers typically undergo training about the general role and code of conduct of health care workers in the EU, including how to communicate, safeguard and care for vulnerable patients with a focus on ethics and confidentiality. More specialised areas of training include the management of patients with dementia, care planning and infection control. The safety of patients and care workers are also emphasised throughout the training programme where food handling, health and safety, the management of patients with swallowing difficulties or aggressive behaviour and safe handling of medical equipment are emphasised.

The training centre is licensed by the Knowledge and Human Development Authority which is the government authority responsible for the growth and quality of private education in Dubai.
