This will be achieved by exposing learners to the fundamental building blocks that enable effective communication in the following areas:

Topics covered include patient assessment, treatment procedures, medication administration, patient education, healthcare documentation, and inter-professional communication. Emphasis is placed on practical communication skills essential for nursing practice, including greeting patients, providing instructions, offering reassurance, and conveying empathy.
This will be achieved by foregrounding the following communicative skills: Greeting and everyday general conversations, Clarification, Politeness, Empathy, Instructions, Advice and Problems related to the body.

This programme aims to equip hospitality employees with the linguistic tools necessary to communicate effectively in various settings. Topics covered include language related to:
- Health and safety at the workplace
- Preparation of different areas for service
- Maintaining colleague and management relations
- Post service cleaning and clearing of specific areas
- Workplace standard procedures
- Guest relations and customer service
- Transactions and cash management
Emphasis is placed on practical communication skills essential for nursing practice, including greeting patients, providing instructions, offering reassurance, and conveying empathy.
This will be achieved by foregrounding the following communicative skills: Greeting and everyday general conversations, Clarification, Politeness, Empathy, Instructions and Advice.

This is a 60 ECTS credit programme of studies, during which the learner becomes better acquainted with becoming a Childcare Educator. Amongst other themes, lectures deal with Child Development, Children’s Rights, Positive Relationships, Child-Centred and Play-Based Pedagogy, Physical Development, Diversity Inclusive Early Childhood Education and Care, Working in Partnership with Parents.
Lecturers deliver engaging presentations which are thought-provoking to allow course participants to be prepared to work in Childcare Centres. A work-based learning component is included as part of this programme. Therese Camilleri is the Head of Healthmark Academy having joined Healthmark in 2022. Therese holds 28 years of experience in education having held positions as Director of Apprenticeship & Work Based Learning Department MCAST for 4 years, where she coordinated the start-up of the Apprenticeship & Work-Based Learning Department (MCAST) and lead the implementation reform of the national apprenticeship scheme. Therese also held the position of a senior lecturer of Health and Social Care at MCAST for 10 years and is specialising on work-based learning and practice placement in the field of Health & Social Care. Therese holds a first-class degree in History and Communication, a PGCE, a Masters in Diplomacy and a Masters in Human Rights Law from the University of Malta together with an MSc in Social Sciences form the University of Leicester. Therese is currently reading the final year of her PhD at the University of Malta, specialising on learning outcomes and apprenticeship.
Adrian Camilleri serves as an Administrative Executive at HealthMark Academy, where he works alongside the Head of Academy to apply his organisational skills and healthcare knowledge in ensuring the smooth operation of the institution.
He began his career in hands-on medical roles, gaining valuable experience working with individuals with disabilities and as an Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) in the emergency department. In addition to his clinical experience, he has a passion for teaching and has instructed courses in First Response, preparing others for high-pressure, life-saving situations. With a strong commitment to service and a focus on education, he is dedicated to fostering a positive and effective learning environment for both staff and students.
