This English course provides the terminology and skills required to define fundamental topics of medicine, such as:
- Dealing with colleagues and patients
- Nutrition and the body
- Accidents and emergencies
- Vocabulary for medication, pills and general healthcare
- Medical supplies
In addition to the above, a particular focus of this training is communication at the workplace. Every subject is covered in detail, from greeting people, using small talk to active listening.

Generally, TCNs who come to Malta as health care workers and need to improve their English skills to be able to communicate with fellow staff, as well as fine tune their health care vocabulary to communicate well and confidently with patients.
B1 level (Intermediate) in English

A diagnostic placement test will be sent to them for them to complete. This can be accessed from our website: https://belsmalta.com/english-test/
This is then graded, and applicants are informed of their level and whether it is high enough to join the course.
They would also require certification needed to be nurses in Malta.

- Engage in continuous learning and professional development in English.
- Communicate effectively in job interviews, performance evaluations, and professional networking.
Assignment based on samples of work they do, Project work/Presentations, homework, Test which covers listening, speaking, writing and reading, Case studies.
